The title of the post refers not to the Christian evangelical pilgrims, but to the AP caption.

AP - Thu Jun 1, 5:34 AM ET Pro-Israel Christian evangelic pilgrims take part in a a prayer as part of celebrations of the Pentacost near the Al Aqsa Mosque compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, outside the walls of Jerusalem's Old City, Thursday, June 1, 2006. The site is traditionally believed by Jewish historians to be the location of Hulda Gate where the original steps led to the Second Jewish Temple. (AP Photo/Kevin Frayer)
"The Al Aqsa Mosque compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount" ... you've got to be friggin' kidding me. First of all, these people didn't go to where they are to be near any mosque compound! Secondly it was the Temple Mount before Mohammed was even born, and that, my friends (and enemies), is not a "tradition" nor a belief held only by some ... It's HISTORICAL FACT. But I guess that such a thing no longer exists, at least not in the Drive By Media. Now, what we used to think of as historical fact is nothing more than the belief of historians. And this, THIS, the Temple Mount, according to the AP is "believed" only by Jewish historians.
I'm so furious, I was going to copy out all these Highlights in the History of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount to show you just how much history went down before there was any such thing as Islam, but just follow the link and scroll down to 638 CE, where it says "Moslem conquest."
The Islamic hero Mohammed -according to the beliefs of Muslim and other historians- was born in the year 571 CE. He never even came to Jerusalem. Six years after his death the city was captured by Caliph Omar (638 CE) ... and not until 691 did the Arabs build their Dome of the Rock.
If you want to see what other historians "believe," there's this timelime of Jerusalem at The History Channel...
They really should change their name, you know, to something like The Various-Beliefs-And-Narratives-With-None-More-Highly-Valued-Than-Another Channel.
