.... one of the most grossly distorted programs to appear on mainstream American television in many years.... false in its basic premise... Jewish (and Christian) religious fervency is equated with that of Muslims heard endorsing "martyrdom," or suicide-killing.... Disproportionate reliance on partisan voices, some extreme figures, skews the message dramatically.... discredited canards about Jews.... subverting American national interests to those of Israel.... reliance on pejorative labeling, generalities, testimonials, and a stacked lineup of guests... a perfect illustration of classical propaganda techniques.... misleading and inaccurate .... highly deceptive....makes no mention of...who disagreed... Nor does Amanpour mention... grossly misleads.... continuously discounts the context .... Unmentioned is the Arab refusal .... she never points this out... nor does she mention.... no Jewish Rabbinical figure is presented.... with no mention by Amanpour.... extremely serious flaws .... false implication .... disregarding the far greater forces ....

In other words, it was hideous.

What amazes me is the "fervency" of Amanpour, of Carter, of Walt and Mearsheimer, of all the enemies of Israel. I can understand my own fervency, which derives from wanting to live, to live in peace, unmolested, and wanting the same for all the family of Jews. I can understand my own fervency in the belief that Jewish survival is a moral imperative in light of centuries of persecution and attempted genocide [within living memory]. I have an obvious personal stake in these matters, but Carter doesn't, Mearsheimer doesn't, Amanpour certainly doesn't. So I cannot imagine what motivates them

Why in the world do they work so tirelessly to discredit and demonize Israel and the Jews? I am told it is not antisemitism, which would at least make sense. So what other viable explanation can there be? Out of all the hundreds of nations in the world, they just happen to be fascinated with the only Jewish one?

Maybe they think Arabs and Muslims control too little of the Middle East (at 99.7%) and this offends them.

Or perhaps they are alarmed, as was Pharoah [Shemot 1:9], by our population increase. After all, the number of Jews are is up worldwide 68% over the last 2,000 years (vs. 3,277% for the general population).

I find it odd that 5.4 million Jews living in Israel can get these people so riled up when (ostensibly, so far) they have no objection to the 5.2 million of us living in the U.S. What's the difference?

For those who say that it's not antisemitism {or Jew-hatred} {or any other bigotry} that causes this hyper-interest in Israel, I have a question: So what is it, then?
