Been Here, Done This

GAZA CITY (CNN) -- The United States has urged Israel to avoid a humanitarian crisis in Gaza by finding different ways to punish Hamas, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday....

"I'm not surprised that this is a situation of tension. But I'm hopeful that perhaps people can look at different ways of dealing with Gaza," Rice said. "Nobody wants innocent Gazans to suffer."

I haven't blogged the Latest poorpalestinian Humanitarian Crisis - that's now making its way to the UN - because the whole situation is so surreal, ridiculous and repetitious.

One. It was never a Humanitarian Crisis in the first place, just like Jenin was never a massacre. It was HAMAS that shut down the terror-tory's only power plant. But it doesn't matter, does it? The Enemedia is on the Palestinians' side (see No. 3 below) so the damage to Israel is done.

Two. It's ridiculous that Israel would give the Hamastinians in Gaza anything at all, much less fuel, electricity and provisions.

Amos Gilad, from the Israeli Defense Ministry: "There is an illogical situation where we supply the petrol with which they manufacture the rocket launchers, the electricity to manufacture them."

Three. "The world" really doesn't give a damn about Palestinians, they just hate Israel (= hate the Jews). Notice that not an eye blinked nor shed a tear when Egyptian border guards wounded 90 Palestinians, mostly women, at the Gaza-Egypt border. You will notice, btw, that Egypt was supporting Israel's isolation of Hamastinian Gaza, but is the world outraged at Egypt for the "Crisis"?

Four. Israel immediately backed down from what was a meager response to (hullo?) Constant Attacks anyway, in submission to "international pressure." And as always, the bleat of the lamb excites the tiger.

Last of all, and not totally unrelated, Did you see Atlas's blog about Ashoura/Ashura on PARK AVENUE IN MANHATTAN ... IN NEW YORK CITY ... IN AMERICA? Well, you should.
