Since Israel is the only predominantly Jewish country in the entire world, it seems odd to me that you would top your Israel index page with a picture of a mosque.

Are you TRYING to be offensive? Or are you simply unconscious?

Things may be getting a little better at the Times since Ethan Bronner has replaced Steven Erlanger as Jerusalem bureau chief; see for example Bronner's front page article about Sderot (yesterday).

But still ... so much damage has already been done and there's no taking it back. I will go to my grave remembering the front page of the Travel Section, Easter Sunday 2006:

Nor will I soon forget that Erlanger wrote in the accompanying article:

"While I sit on a stone wall and look at the intricate tiles of the Dome of the Rock, some Jews are plotting to destroy it and Al Aksa mosque..."

This is a conscious attempt to obliterate Israel and by extension, the Jewish people. It is not a conspiracy theory as we have already know that this is the plan. The NYT is yet another component of this plan actually believing that if their dreams come true, the world will be better and they will actually continue to exist. That vile media exists like the NYT is nothing new. It's that there are so few voices like Yael (Anne Lieberman) to call them on it. And if there are, they aren't very loud. These goals will only be met if we allow it to happen.
