The often repeated notion that "George Bush kept us safe for eight years," has recently taken on much greater significance, as Barack Obama did not even keep us safe for one year. Make no mistake, the massacre of our soldiers at Fort Hood was the first terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.
I have posted before that the president's behavior in the wake of that attack was so inappropriate as to be unnerving. It stands, I believe, as an insult to our history and a threat to our freedom and national security. At best, he is a fool. At worst, he sympathizes more with our enemies than he does with us. This is all very frightening.
Did you know that George and Laura Bush were at Fort Hood Friday night? Chances are, you didn't; the Obamamedia gave it all of two sentences in a late paragraph:
Former President George W. and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers Friday night at the post hospital. A Bush spokesman said the couple spoke with family members of the wounded and personally thanked hospital staff members and Fort Hood leaders.
While the former president was quietly doing what he undoubtedly sees as his duty, our current president was too busy ramming his healthcare plan down our throats to be bothered with visiting the wounded or comforting family members of the fallen.
OBAMACARE: Ask your doctor if it's right for you.
And then there's last night's vote in the House and 10.2% unemployment... not to mention my big fave, capntrade, lurking in the shadows.
We have a lot of work to do, boys and girls, so get some rest. I'll meet you back here tomorrow.
