Quote of the Day: "The White House message"

Very interesting insider piece at the LA Times about how Team Obama is working the Healthcare issue.  This is my favorite sentence:

The White House message is that if healthcare fails this year, that could spell trouble for Democrats in the 2010 midterm election.

 

Funny, that's the same "message" I hear from the right-wing resistance.  See? Left and Right are not so far apart after all; we do agree on some things :)

But here's something my right-wing / tea party friends may not know:

Over the summer, it seemed the Obama plan could fail...  The White House concedes that opponents gained traction by arguing that the proposals amounted to a government takeover of healthcare.

 

I'll pass that on.
