Israeli baby, mother hurt by Palestinian stone-throwers
Palestinian Arab stone-throwers injured an Israeli baby and her mother while hurling stones at Israeli motorists near the Judean town of Hebron on Thursday. The baby and her mother were evacuated to a hospital in Jerusalem with moderate injuries.
Later in the day, another female Israeli motorist was injured by Palestinian stone throwers near the Samarian village of Na'alin.
In yet another incident, Arab motorists attempted to run an off-duty Israeli Border Police officer off the road on a highway north of Jerusalem that Israel's Supreme Court recently opened to Palestinian traffic.
After successfully evading the Arabs' attack, the officer ordered them to pull over. They did so, but immediately began hurling stones at the officer, who responded by firing his gun into the air.
The Arabs quickly returned to their vehicle and sped away, but were arrested a short distance away at an Israeli checkpoint.
Four Palestinians from Bethlehem were also arrested by Israeli security forces on suspicion of stoning Israeli vehicles in the area the biblical town.
And don't anyone dare tell me we're "lucky" it was "only" rocks, because the intention is the same regardless of what projectile happens to be at hand.
