* This is a curse, a plague. Like "Damn it!" but more so. A broch is a way of expressing disgust, misery, disaster. If a guy wants to tell you he's miserable, he's nauseated, he's overwhelmed, he's disgusted, he's at his wit's end, he's heard the end of it, he wants to give up, he wants to run away, he wants to get out of town, he wants to destroy himself, it's all over, there's no end in sight, there's no way to get out of it, all of this can be said in one phrase, “Oy, a broch.”
I don't often post items from HonestReporting anymore, because honestly? they've spent years of effort with no apparent results, their Mission - Not Accomplished.
Then again, one could say the same thing about this blog, which will not celebrate its 7th blogiversary next month. What's to celebrate? All I want is to wake up one morning and find BtB to be obsolete, unnecessary, and I could go back to whatever it was I used to do and think about whatever it was I used to think about.

All my whining kvetching aside, this particular newsbit is absolutely stunning and I'm grateful that HR picked it up.
