I almost threw something at the television last night when I heard yet another Democrat talking head smugly "remind" us that Barack Obama "inherited a bad economy" from President Bush.
I screamed at Hannity to respond, "Yeah, and he also inherited a AAA credit rating!" -- but alas, Sean couldn't hear me and the opportunity was squandered.
We need to turn that "argument" back around to the Dems, because not only did their messiah inherit a AAA credit rating, he also inherited a 7.2% unemployment rate and a gross national debt of $10 trillion.
If there is any economic measure that hasn't worsened since Obama "inherited," I don't know what it could be.
And what's funny is that the one thing the Left hates more than anything else, was not inherited from Bush: The TEA Party only came into existence when early in his administration, Obama pushed his profligate 'stimulus' spending through a corrupt, Democrat-controlled legislative process. And the movement then mushroomed -- not because of anything Bush did, but because Obama next forced a government takeover of the healthcare industry down our throats... in similar arrogant, unbalanced and uncompromising fashion.
So the next time one of those liberal talking heads complains about the TEA Party, I hope someone will remember that it's quite singularly and specifically... Obama's Fault.
And one last thing. I would advise removing all large or heavy objects from within throwing distance of your television screens. It's going to be a long election season.
