While many of the employees at the embassy probably think of themselves as "Britons," I have to admit that when I first heard the news about Ahmadinejad's goon squad swarming over the building, my first thought was ... "mad dogs and Englishmen."

My future daughter-in-law refers to herself as a Brit. English is her language. And England is the part of Britain in which she currently resides.
