I just wrote to WV Senators Manchin and Rockefeller, as follows, and I hope that you will also make the time to contact yours. We cannot just wait and hope, as he assumes dictatorial powers, that he will not be re-elected. No one will do anything to uphold the rule of law if we the VOTING public do not vociferously insist on it.
Dear Sir:President Obama swore to "faithfully execute" his office and to the best of his ability "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."In making "recess appointments" when in fact the Senate was not in recess, but in pro forma session, the President has acted in complete disregard of the very law he took an oath to "preserve, protect and defend."From what I understand, this is a tyrannical abuse of presidential power. I would hope and do expect that you will, as my representative in the Senate, make clear in word and in deed that - no matter one's political party or political allegiance - it is unlawful and utterly unacceptable for the President to operate outside the confines of his Constitutional powers.
