The Obama administration is getting exactly what was wanted. In September of 2008, prior to his appointment as Energy Secretary, Mr. Chu said "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." We are well on the way to getting there. See, Obama can deliver on a promise.

Maybe you dunno the prices in the Europe. It is much higher in the USA. There is a point to think over it.
