Mannie Sherberg
If Obama -- with or without help from Israel -- does decide to take out Iran's nuclear facilities, it won't be for love of Israel, about which he couldn't care less, nor will it be because of his concern for American security, since he seems oblivious to the fact that the Iranian threat IS a threat. But -- knowing what we know about the man and his insatiable desire for power, which can only be gratified if he gets re-elected -- it might be that he will move against Iran so that he can present himself to the electorate as the hero who saved America. Not exactly a "profile in courage," but it might be the best thing that could happen to the West at this time. And -- who knows? -- it might get him re-elected.
