Yael -- many thanks for the kind concern. I'm fine -- just been having some on-and off computer problems which, I hope, are now resolved. When it comes to curing sick gizmos, thingamajigs, and contraptions of any and all kinds, I am a hopeless -- and hapless -- zhlub. But I can still type, so -- for better or for worse -- look for more comments from here on out.

On the subject of Romney and the repeal of Obamacare, I share Yeshiva Son's skepticism. Repealing the bill -- especially, as Romney has promised to do, on "Day One" -- would be tantamount to admitting that Romneycare was a lousy idea. I seriously doubt he has the character to repudiate his own brain-child, particularly since he's been vigorously defending it throughout the campaign. Yeshiva Son and I aren't alone in our distrust. I've read plenty of comments on other sites from equally disbelieving people. As for the inevitability argument, the only thing that's inevitable -- besides death and taxes -- is Romney's insistence that he's inevitable.
