I like the cartoon, but I think it makes a mistaken point. It depicts a bumbling president who just doesn't get it. But it's becoming obvious that he's not a bumbler at all. He's a spectacularly competent operative who set out to bankrupt the government -- and has succeeded. The only thing keeping the bankruptcy from becoming official is his printing of funny money. Even with that, we are getting closer and closer to the day when the government will have no choice but to begin repudiating its debts. That will be the day the American Left has dreamt of for many years -- the day on which the ultimate failure of capitalism will be plain for all to see. That's what Obama had in mind when he took the oath of office. Whatever this guy may be, he's not a bumbler.
