President Obama on Ending the War in Afghanistan:

 

... we are pursuing a negotiated peace. In coordination with the Afghan government, my administration has been in direct discussions with the Taliban.

 

We have made it clear that they can be a part of this future if they break with al Qaeda, renounce violence, and abide by Afghan laws.

 Many members of the Taliban -- from foot soldiers to leaders -- have indicated an interest in reconciliation...."

Solyndras,

prostitution scandals,

GSA parties,

$5 trillion in new national debt,

no federal budget for three years running,

high unemployment,

sluggish growth,

legal crucifixions

nor Mitt Romney.

 

Malcolm continues: "Nevermind the Kabul explosions, killing at least six, a couple of hours after his brief visit."

 

 

According to The New York   Times, the Taliban "claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was a 'message' to Mr. Obama."

"Whenever I smell flowers," said the ever-cynical H. L. Mencken, "I look around for a funeral." That would be good advice for anyone who paid attention to Obama's speech yesterday evening. He tried to sell the American people a ticket to a flower show; what they really got was a ticket to a funeral. What we heard was a masterpiece of obfuscation and obnubilation which cleverly hid the fact that we are calling it quits in Afghanistan and getting the hell out of there as fast as Obama's poll numbers will allow. What will follow will be the complete takeover and utter shariafication of Afghanistan by the Taliban -- and another major victory for the global jihad. Afghanistan is in its death throes and the funeral is not far off. There ain't gonna be no flower show.
