The One will soon surpass Heinz in the number of varieties it sells. Never has any president come in so many varieties -- at least 57. This newest variety -- Obama the flag-waving loyalist -- has no doubt been designed to sell like hotcakes during the run-up to the election. Look for the line to be discontinued on November 7th. What I'd like to know is why the flag-waving-loyalist brand was introduced on a day sacred to Red revolutionaries throughout the world. Is The One trying to pre-empt his competitors? Or is he sending a not-so-subtle signal to the market that he IS a Red revolutionary? I guess we'll never know. After all, successful retailers always keep their marketing secrets under wraps.

I noted that Chris Matthews, he of the thrill up his leg, compared the Afghanistan speech from the immaculated One to the pre-battle speech in the play Henry the V. I guess his graduate work at the University of North Carolina studied a different Shakespeare than I read. Perhaps this is an appropriate time for the REAL Henry V speech. Turn up the sound and be prepared for a palate cleansing comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-yZNMWFqvM
