Back in 2004, after the economy had added 310,000 new jobs in May, and with the unemployment rate at 5.6%, Barack Obama found the economy wanting:
... the basic rewards of a middle-class life,
rewards that we once took for granted,
have become an elusive dream.”

As president, Obama has since overseen the collapse of American prosperity. So I think we are entitled to ask:
