This is a signal honor for Obama. The only comparable honor, I think, would be to say that someone is a worse screw-up than even Wrong-way Corrigan. Back in 1938, a professional pilot named Douglas Corrigan flew his commercial aircraft from New York to Ireland when the flight plan called for him to fly from New York to Long Beach, California. He was instantly entered on the Honor Roll of Eminent Klutzes as "Wrong-way" Corrigan, and he remains at the top of the roll until this very day. But this may be changing. Corrigan's ghost must feel Wrong-way Carter and Wrong-way Obama breathing down his neck. There's room at the top for only one Wrong-way. This race could get more exciting that anything the Olympics have to offer.
