Nobody gives a damn about the poorpalestinians (unless Israel is involved)

If an Israeli so much as looks sideways at a poorpalestinian, The World (Media) is up in arms at the Great Injustice! the Degradation! the Humiliation and Oppression! But when the poorpalestinians are abused by the HAMAS terrorist government they themselves elected in a landslide? 

Eh.

Ma’an and other Palestinian news agencies report that the Hamas government in Gaza has renewed its policy of demolishing the homes of Palestinian families in order to seize land for government use. 120 families are to lose their homes in the latest round of demolitions – a far greater number than the number of illegally built Palestinian homes Israel has demolished in recent years – and unlike Israeli authorities, Hamas doesn’t even claim these homes were built illegally or with dangerous structures. Yet western media and human rights groups have been virtually silent about these destructions of Palestinian homes by Hamas.

Abu Al-Abed Abu Omra, whose house is threatened with demolition, told Ma’an that Hamas security police arrived late on a Saturday night and told residents to evacuate their homes in order to facilitate the demolition.

He said that more than 120 families living in a 15-dunams area near Gaza’s Al-Azhar University are under threat, though they have been living there since 1948.

In February, as reported on this email list, Hamas demolished a number of homes in the Hamami neighborhood in Gaza City

 

 

Meanwhile, 

Israeli aid groups are providing humanitarian assistance to Syrian refugees who have fled to Jordan and Turkey...

 

Of course they are.

This post, Yael, is a clarifying commentary on your earlier "The United States of Neuroses." The supposedly guilt-ridden groupies who are now the foot soldiers of American socialism aren't guilt-ridden in the slightest; indeed, I wonder if they've ever felt a twinge of real guilt about anything. Their guilt isn't neurotic -- it's phony, contrived to gin up sympathy for selected groups of "victims" and "sufferers." We make a serious mistake, I think, by crediting these manipulative mannerists with having what it takes to feel real guilt; what they feel is resentment and bitterness and hatred for everyone and anyone who stands in the way of their freedom-killing, wealth destroying ideology. Their guilt is as meretricious as a fake "diamond." Its only purpose is to make the rest of us feel guilty about things we have no reason to feel guilty about, so that we'll fall meekly in line while they proceed unimpeded with the demolition of Western civilization. Leftwing "guilt" is no more about guilt than the Holy Roman Empire was holy, Roman, or an empire.
