On Shabbes, right up against Tisha b'Av, when Romney is in Israel and Obama is being excoriated by conservatives for his record of shabby treatment of our ally Israel -- and most importantly, as the centrifuges continue to spin away in Iran -- the Associated Press publishes this crock, by two of their Pulitzer-prize-winning employees.
US SEES ISRAEL . . . AS SPY THREAT
BY ADAM GOLDMAN AND MATT APUZZO
It's bad enough that I link to this; I'm certainly not going to repeat its substance. But I would call your attention to these phrases, as they are sprinkled throughout:
"The incident, described by three former senior U.S. intelligence officials...."
".... In a separate episode, according to another two former U.S. officials..."
"... according to current and former officials."
"The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to talk publicly about the sensitive intelligence and diplomatic issues between the two countries."
"... a former U.S. official said."
"One former U.S. intelligence official who saw the... list said..."
"Some CIA officials ..."
"... former U.S. officials said..."
"A former official with direct knowledge of the case said..."
The media is not our friend, boys and girls. I don't know what the hell we're going to do about it, either. Even if we are blessed with a Romney presidency, we will still have a corrupt media on our hands, and it will still be aligned with the far left.
