Red books, blue books, who's reading what books

Amazon asks you to bear in mind that "... books aren't votes, so a map of book purchases may reflect curiosity as much as commitment."  

Yeah, right.  Compare/contrast with this other map, and then tell me it's about "curiosity."

It's always possible, of course, that more conservatives than Dims know how to read. After all, it's no coincidence that the guys on the other side are named Dims instead of Brights. Leaving that conjecture aside, however, I think this is very heartening news. A straw in the wind, pehaps, but also another sign that the wind is behind us.

For a guy who just took at jab at Dims who can't read, I need to brush up on my spelling. The odious orthography in the final sentence stands for "perhaps."
