What happened yesterday at the DNC is significant in the extreme. Rarely do we see an American political party expose its real self -- warts and all -- and certainly never at a party's national convention, in which everything has been choreographed to make flawed human beings look like saints. Yet, in a totally unexpected eruption of unscripted and unedited truth, the Democratic party yesterday revealed this ugly and frightening truth about itself: It -- and not the Ku Klux Klan or the American Nazi Party -- is the major American repository of Jew-hatred. Anyone who watched yesterday's fiasco unfold on TV knows that the decision to restore the "missing words" (not all of which were restored) was crammed down the delegates' throats; a clear majority of the delegates did not want the words restored, and they made their displeasure known by loud catcalls and boos. The amended platform is an utter fake; it does not reflect the views of a majority of the delegates, who are -- manifestly -- strident antisemites. This is the bitter and ominous truth with which every Jewish American must now reckon. For those who may have been in doubt, yesterday's debacle leaves no room for doubt: The Democratic party is the self-declared enemy of the Jewish people.

"DNC CHAIR: Omission was 'technical oversight'..." A "technical oversight," mind you. So then...we are to believe that the omission of any-and-all references to God was a "technical oversight" -- authors, editors, typists, proof-readers and all.
