I heard Assemblyman Dov Hyken of New York -- a lifetime Democrat who is working hard to defeat Obama because he's come to see him as an arch-enemy of the Jewish people -- predict to Neil Cavuto today that Obama would get no more than 68% of the Jewish vote -- 10% less than in 2008. This was in response to Cavuto's question as to why so many Jews supported Obama. I have yet to see any evidence that Hyken is wrong; every indicator is that while Obama will almost surely get fewer Jewish votes than in 2008, he will just as surely get well over half the Jewish vote. I wonder if these Jewish supporters would -- had they been there -- have walked out with Ambassador Prosor or sat supinely by and listened while Ahmadinejad spewed poison at them. I'd be willing to bet my last dollar they'd have sat supinely by -- and joined in the post-speech applause. We Jews are in much bigger trouble than we dare to admit -- even to ourselves. Can any people call itself a "people" when it has so many defectors in its midst?

Mannie, as usual, you nailed it here. Put it another way, "if I'm not for myself, who will be for me?"
