In a 'significant escalation,' the IAF bombed the home of Hamas 'Prime Minister' Ismail Haniyeh overnight. Haniyeh was not home and the IDF is not saying how badly the home was damaged.
Of course, Haniyeh was not there at the time. All the major Hamasniks are in hiding, holed up in the basement of a hospital. Typical terrorists.
The IDF also struck the home of Hamas commander in Kahn Yunis, Muhammad Sinwar, who was involved in the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.
.... On Thursday night, The IDF shifted infantry brigades and tank columns to the Gaza border, and announced the call-up of 30,000 reservists, as it made preparations for a possible ground incursion into the Gaza Strip.
Friday: Israel ceased fire during the visit by the Egyptian Prime Minister to Gaza. HAMAS, however, continued to fire rockets on Israel. See JPost.
Next visitor to Gaza: the Tunisian foreign minister.
Hundreds more rockets are expected in the coming days.
