Broken Jumbotron :/

I found it disrespectful of Drudge to post this headline:

"Broken Jumbotron frustrates thousands

on the National Mall"

 

Even though I oppose the president on each and every issue, down to his nuance, I think it's  a bit harsh to refer to him as a broken jumbotron... on his Big Day.

 

 

Tomorrow is a different story.

After the steamed lobster with New England clam chowder sauce chosen by Chuck Schumer, the hickory-grilled bison with red potato horseradish cake and wild huckleberry, the Hudson Valley apple pie with sour cream ice cream and honey maple caramel sauce - (and that's just lunch!) - after all the toasts, dinners, parades and dances... we will still be stuck with the same old broken leftist jumbotron.

So tomorrow we will start the countdown to the next presidential election.

I'm confused. I thought those thousands were on the Mall today to watch an inauguration. But -- from what I saw on TV -- it wasn't an inauguration at all. It was an investiture ... an enthronement ... a transfiguration. At any moment, I expected to see Obama remove his topcoat and don an ermine cloak. Good grief! When did the United States of America become the land of pomp and circumstance? As for the lunch menu, those gastronomic goodies totalled -- if FOX News is to be believed -- 3,000 calories. Whatever happened to Michelle the Lunchroom Monitor? Was this her day off?
