We can only hope that when Hillary goes, Huma goes with her. But it won't make a shred of difference. Replacing Hillary with John Kerry is like replacing peanuts with goobers. And even if you replace peanuts with cashews, it still won't make a shred of difference. McCarthy is right: American foreign policy is made inside Obama's head -- and Obama is all that matters. The same goes for our defense policy. Whether the next SecDef is Hagel or some other incompetent doesn't matter. If Obama is determined to eviscerate our military and put the screws to Israel -- as he unquestionably is -- then the identity of the SecDef doesn't matter: Our military will be eviscerated and Irael will be put to the screws. It's like the old medieval puzzle: If the world rests on the back of a turtle, what does the turtle rest on? Answer: It's turtles all the way down. In the Obama presidency, it's Obama -- all the way down.
