Kol hakavod to Asher Gladson, for writing this.
Seven years ago on January 4 by the Gregorian calendar, Ariel Sharon was felled by a stroke that has left him alive but incommunicative. Daily I have prayed the Jewish prayer for healing, the Shel'mah, for his recovery; for I hoped that his stroke was similar to what happened to Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4: 24-37.
Sharon's stroke occurred after he forced all the Jews who lived in and prospered in Gaza, for the first time in its history, to evacuate. Most of those Jews are still without permanent and proper homes and must continue to pay their mortgages on their homes in Gaza that the Palestinians have destroyed. Where is the justice here? Jewish businessmen around the world bought the greenhouses and gave them to the Palestinians who then destroyed most of them, but no one has had mercy on the evicted Jews!
Considering his lifetime of dedication to the state of Israel, I believed that Sharon had taken this dramatic and egregious step in order to graphically prove to the world that the Palestinians had no ability or intention of running a proper state, but would instead devote all their energy and monies to the destruction of Israel and the murder of the Jewish people. I believed that as soon as it became obvious to the world that even having total control of Gaza was not sufficient incentive for the Palestinians to form a proper nation, that he would take the IDF back into Gaza and evacuate the Arabs.
None of my positive hopes have materialized....
