The symbolism couldn't be more revealing: a small decision by small-minded people. When it comes to inflicting "pain" on the American people, the cancellation of White House tours is strictly small-time, small-town, and small-potatoes -- just what you'd expect from a small-fry administration. For all his vaunted ambition and vainglory, Obama is a president who simply does not -- and apparently cannot -- think big. Granted, he's good at concocting big messes (the Obamacare mess is developing into a gargantuan screw-up) but he seems unable to come up with ideas for solving -- not aggravating -- big problems ... like the deficit, the entitlements imbroglio, the Iranian nuke, and on and on. (Actually, Obamacare isn't a big solution to anything; it's nothing more than a crazy-quilt of little ideas stitched into ugly incoherence.) He talks big and achieves small. Can anyone recall another president who'd have equated cancelled White House tours with pain?
