Meanwhile, last night Palestinian terrorists ambushed and murdered a Jewish couple in their 50s, travelling home to Jerusalem after a Shabbat visit to relatives in Gush Katif. Four others were wounded in the attack, including Ami Shaked, the Gaza Coast Regional Council's director of security. Shaked shot and killed one of the terrorists. According to Arutz Sheva, the other terrorist was found and killed by the IDF.
The funeral of Dov, 58, and Rachel, 53, Kol is underway in Jerusalem. The Kols are survived by three children: Hila, 24, who has a one-month-old daughter, the Kols' only grandchild; Tamar, 17, and Yehonatan, 15.
May the souls of Dov and Rachel Kol be bound to the bond of life, and may the Gd of Israel bring strength and comfort to their family and friends.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visited the Palestinian Authority Saturday, and told Palestinians that Israel’s disengagement from the Gaza Strip is an opportunity to advance the peace process (YNet).
