It describes in stark detail just how much money the US taxpayer is spending on Israel, directly and indirectly, and how the pro-Israel lobby and their proxies in the US government have managed to pull this off. It is simply sickening.
If you live in the US and care about its future, read this report NOW and then start demanding some answers from your elected representatives.
And while you're at it, go to some of the pro-Israel, pro-Iraq war blogs, and post some of the well-researched and supported facts recited in this report. I plan on doing so, and look forward to seeing what those people have to say in response.
Brace yourselves. That's a comment at JuanCole.com about the latest from our left-wing Ivory Tower. At issue is a Faculty Researching Working Paper on (or as some would have it, a "lengthy diatribe against") what they call The Israel Lobby, written by Harvard Prof. (and Academic Dean, Kennedy School of Government) Stephen Walt and Univ. of Chicago Prof. John Mearsheimer.
A shorter version appears as an article in the London Review of Books.
It's being written about all over (see especially The American Thinker and this New York Sun editorial) and brings into focus an important discussion initiated by Daled Amos.
Lots to think about, folks, and lots to do. Here's another illuminating comment from the JuanCole site, sure to invigorate your thought process(es).

Anyone following the current situation in the Palestinian/Israeli relationship can clearly see that the Palestinians are boxed into a corner from which they cannot escape to construct a viable country.
The re-emergence of Netanyahu is the boil that shows up after the infection has ravaged the tissue beneath a thin skin of "cooperation".
It is getting harder and harder to understand why this issue is not dealt with in a fair and equitable way once and for all.
Except, of course, for those who profit from the continued strife directly attributable to poverty, unemployment, a lack of a fully functional school system and easy access to healthcare... and people wonder how Hamas could have won the election...
Wait a minute! What's described above is a lot like what's happening here!
It is outrageous and irresponsible to compare the United States government to the Palestinian Authority under Fatah [and Hamas is what? the Democratic Party ?] ... but all this controversy just goes to show that our wise King Solomon was right: "The Lord made man with perfect simplicity, but they complicated themselves" (Lazer Beams).
Just remember, in Gan Eden stands the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but there's also another tree, good for holding fast to in times of high winds such as this.
Oh, and praying for a miracle couldn't hurt :)
