From a ludicrous Haaertz editorial early this past week (www.haaretz.com/hasen/objects/pages/PrintArticleEn.jhtml?itemNo=729329) that criticizes the residents of Sderot for “venting” their feelings instead of appreciating everything Olmert’s government is doing (trips to Sderot by government officials and more money to “protect schools”): “For about five years, without major let-ups, Qassam rockets have drizzled on Sderot (and other communities around the Gaza Strip) . . . . The defense minister announced Monday that if the Qassam attacks do not stop, steps will be taken that will bring about this result. Israel has the means, but they must be implemented on the basis of sober reasoning so as to avoid unnecessary escalation.” As Lynn-B says (http://incontext.blogmosis.com/archives/032282.html#032282), sheer insanity.
