UPDATE, Tuesday: The headline's been changed to "Fatah Officers Attack Hamas Sites in West Bank." I fail to understand the improvement there, and it comes as no surprise that I'm not listed in the "Who's Blogging?" box. Only when I'm not critical of the Post do I get that coveted link :)

The Washington Post has an article headlined, Palestinian Security Attacks Hamas Buildings
Only in the terror-tories do "security" folks, ostensibly hired to protect people and property, attack people and property instead. Give 'em a state; they'll burn it down.
Oh, the story? I almost forgot.
JERUSALEM, June 12 --Several hundred members of the Fatah-dominated Palestinian security services shot up or set fire to two official buildings associated with the rival Hamas movement in the West Bank city of Ramallah Monday, hours after partisan clashes killed two people and wounded 15 others in the Gaza Strip....After shooting out the windows of parliament, the officers entered the cabinet headquarters, where they smashed furniture and computers before setting the building on fire. Witnesses said the armed men, including some members of Fatah's military wing known as the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, prevented firefighters from putting out the blaze.
The "officers" smashed furniture and computers? in an "official" Hamas building? Official Hamas? This has gotten beyond ridiculous. It would make so much more sense if the writer were simply allowed to say that arsonists set fire to a building... or lunatics with guns smashed furniture and computers. It's funny, the press will call Hamas terrorists "lawmakers," but they won't call Fatah terrorists, "law-breakers."
The only aspect of this that doesn't amuse me is the fact that the whole world saw these people burn synagogues and said nothing. I would bet my house that now that they're burning "government" buildings, people will think they've gone too far. People will be shocked by this.
It's a sick world, what can I tell you?
