Drudge reports that 1,965,000 people were tuned in to CNN's anti-Israel televised screed at 9 pm the other night.
At 10 pm, there were 2,195,000.
That's really daunting, especially when you think of the mere thousands who might read or see any alternative (i.e. truthful) "narratives." So what can we do? Here's some correspondence, which I hope will inspire and help you to Do Something.
The first is a letter to Naomi Ragen:
I am a 26 year old Jewish lawyer living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My father and I are avid readers of your material and although relatively secular in our religious practice, we are proud Zionists.I typically don't resort to the type of anger I am experiencing this morning. I was up half-the-night after watching the most reprehensible piece of garbage, masquerading as journalism, on the American airwaves last night. To wit, CNN is airing a three-part series (hosted by a woman I can now only assume is
somehow related to Yasir Arafat, Christiane Amanpour) call God's Warriors. Last night's 2-hour installment was focused solely on "God's Jewish Warriors."I will spare you my point-by-point analysis of the piece (of garbage) but I will highlight my overarching opinion. You must view it and see what CNN propagates to the (largely ignorant) American public. It was the most filtered, slanted and Anti-Semitic psycho babble I have ever witnessed aired on American television. I am so outraged by the glaring inconsistencies, half-truths and lies I am literally beside myself. Worst of all, as icing on the cake, it featured an interview with Jimmy Carter railing against Israeli settlements in the West Bank as being the primary road-block to peace between Israelis and Palestinians. It also included a nearly Neo-Nazi-like analysis of the Jewish/Israeli influence in Congress.
I am not blessed with your skill with words. Someone needs to write a letter to CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other influential media outlets in America and express our outrage at what I was subjected to last night.
I look forward to hearing from you on this matter.
Best Regards,
J. Stern
Naomi responded with these Action Items:
Call CNN. Ask to speak to the president of CNN or leave a message on the comment line: 404-827-1500Or submit a comment on CNN's Web site at http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form6a.html?2
Esther Sarah (who called me three or four times to scream during the program) used the link to send this message, which is considerably less emphatic than what she said to me on the phone:)
Honestly, I thought I was watching a piece of Nazi propaganda -- how else to explain the claim that the entire Middle East peace process (and indeed the peace of the world) is being jeopardized by the
lying, scheming, cheating Jews? That's it -- never again will I watch CNN. You ought to hang your heads in shame but I doubt you have the integrity even recognize the disgrace you aired two nights ago.
We need numbers here if we're going to make any impact at all. Don't worry about your inability to fully or clearly express your thoughts and feelings; it's more important that you simply be counted. And don't be rude or vulgar because that will just give CNN the excuse they are looking for to dis-count you.
