Ahmadi Najad & Boraq Hussein Obama: Both Crushing Dissent & Moving "Forcefully Ahead"

Today's NY Times:

Though allies of the nation’s leadership expressed their own anger with the brutality of the crackdown, summoning the interior minister before a committee of Parliament, the government moved forcefully ahead, calling for President Ahmadinejad to be sworn in by early August as the winner of the Islamic Republic’s 10th presidential election.

The question hanging over the opposition — a disparate collection of reformers, conservatives, clerics, students, middle class and poor — was what, if anything, would come next.

# 2.  My sources in the the halls of government tell me that Obama is calling for a vote on Cap and Trade by this Friday in the House of Representatives -- QUICK! Before anyone even knows what it is.

This is so painful for me to say since my father served in WWII and I served during Vietnam but; there is one consolation to Obama destroying America's influence in the world (mostly for good, imo, despite all Obama has apologized for) and that is that with a loss of influence, his ability to affect harmful change with Israel is also diminished.
