IMPEACH OBAMA!

Now before you accuse me of racism, I want you to note that I called for Pres. Bush's impeachment in March 2008 for the very same criminal behavior:

... to me it's blood money, pure and simple.

There is no question: I'd sooner let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid divvy up the money for earmarks in America any day, than bear responsibility for further enabling the Palestinians to kill and maim our families and our children. With impunity. With American money, our money. I cannot imagine anything more horrific.

 

 

US gives $200 million to Palestinians

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Friday the United States has given 200 million dollars to help the operations of the cash-strapped Palestinian Authority (PA).

Moving to honor a pledge she made at a donors conference in Egypt in March, Clinton said the aid was part of international efforts to pave the way for the creation of a Palestinian state.

"I am pleased to announce that the US has transferred 200 million dollars in direct support to the PA," Clinton said at a press conference.

She described the aid as a "critical portion" of a

$900 million assistance package

she announced at the donors meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

 

Clinton said the aid reflected US support for reform efforts undertaken during the past two years by the government of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas and his finance minister, Salam Fayyad, who also addressed Friday's press conference via video-link from the West Bank city of Ramallah.

"It is our hope that the support of the US and other nations will help foster conditions in which a Palestinian state can be fully realized, a state that is a responsible partner, is at peace with Israel and its Arab neighbors, (and) accountable to its people," she said.

Fayyad said the US package was the largest single international aid donation ever given directly to the Palestinian Authority.

NB: Back in March 2008, Fayyad said of the Bush administration's $150 million downpayment on $550 million that it was

"the largest sum of assistance of any kind to be transferred to the Palestinian Authority by any donor in one trench since the Palestinian Authority's inception."

That would be "tranche" -- French for slice, section, series or potion. "In the financial sense of the word, each bond is a different slice of the deal's risk."

 

So, boys and girls, our American government is not only funding terrorists, it's leading the way in this endeavor, giving the largest-ever donations, the most recent being paid directly to the PA (as opposed to being sent through an aid organization).

 

"It is indeed a huge vote of confidence," [Fayyad] said....

Demand Endless Warfare Against Israel

 

(Mere Rhetoric) - They want to be very, very clear about this whole "we'll never recognize Israel" thing.  Personally I'm surprised.  They seemed so hopey and changey to me: 

As the Fatah movement prepares for its upcoming leadership convention, a senior group member says the event will be used to display Fatah's commitment to the armed struggle against Israel.  Preparations for the convention, scheduled for August 4, are in full force at this time.  During a series of preliminary meetings ahead of the event, senior Fatah official Rafik al-Natsheh said that the group will not be recognizing Israel.

"We will maintain the resistance option in all its forms and we will not recognize Israel," he said.

"Not only don't we demand that anyone recognize Israel, we don't recognize Israel ourselves.  However, the Palestinian Authority government is required to do it, or else it will not be able to collect American taxpayer funds  serve the Palestinian people."

I know that many of you are angry and frustrated that REPUBLICANS! In congress are dragging their feet and trying to block TRUE healthcare reform. President Obama inherited one of the worst government catastrophes in American history from these REPUBLICANS! And President Obama has done a brilliant job of turning things around, and working his heart out for all of us.

But Republicans think you are just a bunch of stupid, idiot, cash cows with short memories. Just like they did under the Bush administration when they helped Bush and Cheney rape America and the rest of the World.

But you don’t have to put up with that. And this is what you can do. The Republicans below will be up for reelection on November 2, 2010. Just a little over 13 months from now. And many of you will be able to vote early. So pick some names and tell their voters that their representatives (by name) are obstructing TRUE healthcare reform. And are sellouts to the insurance and medical lobbyist.

Ask them to contact their representatives and tell them that they are going to work to throw them out of office on November 2, 2010, if not before by impeachment, or recall elections. Doing this will give you something more to do to make things better in America. And it will help you feel better too.

There are many resources on the internet that can help you find people to call and contact. For example, many social networking sites can be searched by state, city, or University. Be inventive and creative. I can think of many ways to do this. But be nice. These are your neighbors. And most will want to help.

I know there are a few democrats that have been trying to obstruct TRUE healthcare reform too. But the main problem is the Bush Republicans. Removing them is the best thing tactically to do. On the other hand. If you can easily replace a democrat obstructionist with a supportive democrat, DO IT!

You have been AMAZING!!! my people. Don’t loose heart. You knew it wasn’t going to be easy saving the World.

Some where in time I believe it was in Rome. (I Hope some one else can fill in the story) it was proposed that all the slaves should have to wear white arm bands. The response to this was NO: if they see how many they are they will revolt.

If you believe we have become slaves to this government I hope you will join me in wearing a white arm band. I made ours by ripping up an old white sheet.

 

DESPERATE DEMOCRATS CHEAT THE PUBLIC

This is WAY over the top.  According to Roll Call:

Democrats are preventing Republican House Members from sending their constituents a mailing

that is critical of the majority’s health care reform plan, blocking the mailing by alleging that it is inaccurate.

House Republicans are crying foul and claiming that the Democrats are using their majority to prevent GOP Members from communicating with their constituents.

Walking through Jerusalem every day, I never fail to be struck by how this amazing city has survived all the hatred and bloodshed its enemies have forced on it.  Just last night, I sat out on Ben Yehuda street, as crowded as a carnival, eating ice cream, talking with friends.  No one would ever know that just a few years [ago] --ravaged by suicide bombers-- it sat dark and empty in the midst of a fear-filled city.

I walked through the Liberty Bell Gardens, and it was filled with Jewish families with knitted skullcaps sitting on benches, and Arab families with head scarves from the Eastern part of the city, watching their children play together on the jungle gyms. This is real peace, real coexistence.

If Barack Obama has his way, with the help of J Street, all this [would/will] end. Extremist elements will be invited to take over half the city, and the bloodshed will begin again.

All the American journalists who cried when they took down the Berlin Wall,  can't wait for the Jerusalem Wall to be constructed.  There is not a true thinker, or an independent intellect among them....

Rubin explains this as "a dig at the left-wing groups that posit themselves as the ones in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict."  The world needs more such "digs."  Go to J Street (George Soros's Jewish "arm" of MoveOn.org) and give them a piece of your mind; I hate that they are allowed to complacently think themselves unopposed.

Doctors on Obamacare

The American Medical Association has weighed in on National Health Insurance.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. 

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.  

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anesthesiologists thought the idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the a**holes in Washington.

Jeff Jacoby's column, Jerusalem - one city, undivided, is probably one of the strongest we will see in the mainstream.

LATE LAST WEEK, the Obama administration demanded that the Israeli government pull the plug on a planned housing development near the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem. The project, a 20-unit apartment complex, is indisputably legal. The property to be developed - a defunct hotel - was purchased in 1985, and the developer has obtained all the necessary municipal permits.

Why, then, does the administration want the development killed? Because Sheikh Jarrah is in a largely Arab section of Jerusalem, and the developers of the planned apartments are Jews. Think about that for a moment. Six months after Barack Obama became the first black man to move into the previously all-white residential facility at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, he is fighting to prevent integration in Jerusalem.

It is impossible to imagine the opposite scenario: The administration would never demand that Israel prevent Arabs from moving into a Jewish neighborhood. And the Obama Justice Department would unleash seven kinds of hell on anyone who tried to impose racial, ethnic, or religious redlining in an American city. In the 21st century, segregation is unthinkable - except, it seems, when it comes to housing Jews in Jerusalem.

It is not easy for Israel’s government to refuse any demand from the United States, which is the Jewish state’s foremost ally. To their credit, Israeli leaders spoke truth to power, and said no. “Jerusalem residents can purchase apartments anywhere in the city,’’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday. “There is no ban on Arabs buying apartments in the west of the city, and there is no ban on Jews building or buying in the city’s east. This is the policy of an open city.’’

Jacoby goes on to explain the history and the reasoning leading up to his conclusion that

The great obstacle to Middle East peace is not that Jews insist on living among Arabs. It is that Arabs insist that Jews not live among them. If Obama doesn’t grasp that, he has a lot to learn.

 

Make no mistake, I am very grateful for Jacoby's solid and well written plea for understanding, but it is a plea.  He explains why it's really okay for Jews to undertake construction in their capital city, as if any rational person would become convinced if only he or she knew the facts.

What other people in the world could or would sit down with pen and paper (or keyboard) and set out such a defense?  This is why it's okay for us to build houses. This is why it's okay for us to have a little tiny country in the birthplace of our civilization. This is why it's okay for us to be, and to be here.

This is why Jews sucking in air shouldn't really be considered so offensive to your sensibilities. You see, we have the "right" to exist.  Just look at the evidence. Let me explain it to you so that you can understand.

 

The truth is that Jews are honorable to a fault.

We - perhaps alone among the peoples of the world - believe in and practice reason.  We are merciful to our ungodly enemies.  Our kindness knows no bounds (who else sends jam and coffee to the murderers of their children?).  We contribute goodness and light to the world far and away beyond what our numbers would predict.  It was Jewish civilization that gave this heathen world its first tastes of ethics, law and freedom.

My dearest Yidden, my brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, asleep or awake, why do you bother to explain how it is that you too may live and breathe, have children and build houses?  It is beneath our dignity. We have been explaining ourselves since time immemorial; if they cared to hear our arguments they would have listened - and learned - years ago. 

We have nothing to be ashamed of.  And when ... if ... we come to understand that, we will be able to resist and to save ourselves. Without the need to explain why we do so.

In a 1938 essay, Mohandas ("Mahatma") Gandhi, the spiritual and political leader of the Indian independence movement, counseled Jews in Nazi Germany to neither flee nor resist but rather offer themselves up to be killed by their enemies, since their "suffering voluntarily undergone will bring them an inner strength and joy."

When all hope is lost, a Jew about to be killed "al Kiddush Hashem" -- as a Jewish martyr -- is indeed to reach for serenity, even happiness, at the opportunity to give up his life because of who he is. When Rabbi Elchonon Wasserman, the great Lithuanian Jewish religious leader and scholar, was murdered by Hitler's henchmen in 1941, he reportedly told the students about to be killed with him that "In Heaven it appears that they deem us to be righteous because our bodies have been chosen to atone for the Jewish people… In this way we will save the lives of our brethren overseas… We are now fulfilling the greatest commandment… The very fire that consumes our bodies will one day rebuild the Jewish people."

But Jewish martyrdom is not something to be courted. And so Mr. Gandhi's advice for Jews during the Holocaust was, even if consonant with his personal beliefs, from Judaism's point of view profoundly wrong.

And Gandhi's advice was even more disturbing in light of his admission, in that same essay, that the "cry for the national home for the Jews does not make much appeal to me." Jews, he said, should "make… their home where they are born."

It is, moreover, he went on, "inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs."

Apples, they say, don't fall far from trees. A rotten one fell with a loud splat recently over at The Washington Post. On a weblog -- "On Faith" -- sponsored by that paper in conjunction with Newsweek Magazine, Arun Gandhi, a grandson of Mohandas and co-founder of the M. K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence at the University of Rochester, opined that "the Jews today" are intent on making Germans feel guilty for the Holocaust (which he chose to spell with a lower-case "h") and that they insist that "the whole world must regret what happened to the Jews."

"The world did feel sorry," he reminded his readers, "for the episode." But "when an individual or a nation refuses to forgive and move on, the regret turns into anger."

Ah, yes, that unpleasant "episode," more than 60 years ago. And those Jews still can't bring themselves to forgive the Nazis....
