The fusillade of bad-news on this morning's Drudge Report -- private sector hiring down by 39,000 last month, food stamp recipients at a record high, Goldman Sachs predicting a "fairly bad" or "very bad" economy for the next six months, and New Yorkers' income dropping for the first time in 70 years -- should be all it takes to get any indolent voters rushing to the polls next month. In addition, the IMF issued a report this morning that said -- in essence -- the the U.S economy is dead in the water. I suspect only the brain-dead -- or those who don't worry about money because they counterfeit their own -- will stay home on November 2.
