If Govt Can't Be Trusted, Why Would We Want MORE of it?

My friend Stef makes a good point, which I'll try to paraphrase since I can't remember exactly how she put it.

• American Leftists unequivocally support public employee unions because they are convinced that were it not for those unions, the Government would abuse its workers.
• On the other hand, those very same Leftists are equally convinced that the very same Government from which workers need to be protected, can and should be trusted with the healthcare of each and every American.

 

Stef says they can't have it both ways, but the Left says, well, .... Yes they can.
