In Cairo yesterday there were "protests" (from the account I read they were more like riots) in front of the Israeli embassy, demanding that Egypt abrogate its peace treaty with Israel. A sizable number of Egyptians were injured in scuffles with police. These events are always reported by the media as if they were spontaneous -- as if hundreds of Egyptians "just happened" to be in front of the embassy at the same time with the same goal in mind. Plainly, the MB is busy organizing "unplanned," "off-the-cuff," spur-of-the-moment," "improvised" events -- all for the purpose of making it impossible for any future government to sustain the treaty. The so-called Arab street is being whipped into a "death to Israel" frenzy. Not a good sign.
