Trivial pursuits, perhaps

Earlier, as I was reading in the Washington Post about White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett pitching Obama's re-election to "a major pro-Israel donor," it occurred to me to look her up at Wikipedia.

I bet you didn't know that she and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were born just a couple of weeks  - and 388 miles - apart. Yep, he was born 26 October 1956 in Aradan, Iran. And she was born 14 November in Shiraz.  

So of course they both speak Persian!  

But without the innernut, it's likely we never would have known. Amazing, isn't it? What you can learn...
