The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 20% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove... Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) at least somewhat disapprove.
.... Fifty-four percent (54%) believe the president is more liberal than they are politically. Twelve percent (12%) see him as more conservative. President Obama continues to draw great support from liberal Democrats but not as much as from conservative Democrats. Enthusiasm for the president is also down among younger Democrats....

President Obama's summer woes have dragged his approval rating to an all-time low, sinking below 40% for the first time in Gallup's daily tracking poll.
New data posted Sunday shows that 39% of Americans approve of Obama's job performance, while 54% disapprove. Both are the worst numbers of his presidency.
Political wonks will tell you that once former President George W. Bush saw his approval rating sink into the 30s, it stayed there, never rebounding any higher than 38% -- in Jan. 2008.
