President Obama is joining [today] with former president Bill Clinton on a $4 billion initiative to improve the energy efficiency of government and private-sector buildings....
"Upgrading the energy efficiency of America's buildings is one of the fastest, easiest and cheapest ways to save money, cut down on harmful pollution and create good jobs right now," Obama said in a statement. "But we can't wait for Congress to act."
The federal government owns the most building space in the country (about 3 billion square feet) and uses the most energy....
