I wonder: Did Romney and his goon squad learn their southside Chicago tactics from Obama -- or did they come by them naturally? The question's purely theoretical; the answer doesn't really matter. What does matter is the pattern we see here: two ravenously ambitious and predacious men -- Obama and Romney -- behaving like Mafia dons surrounded by consiglieres, busily eliminating anyone and everyone standing in their way. Plainly. Allen West -- like Gingrich -- is too visionary and too radical (in the truest sense of the word) for these power-hungry men whose only real motivation seems to be a lust for power for its own sake. West -- like Gingrich -- genuinely wants to restore America to its former self -- a goal which, if achieved, would make life impossible for men like Obama and Romney, who prefer to batten on America as it now is. Worst of all, Allen West -- like Gingrich -- is not only an articulate "enemy," but an enemy who refuses to shut up. So -- obviously -- he must be rubbed out. When I was young, I used to think stuff like this happened only in the movies. I wish I'd been right.
There is an ad from Gingrich running where Mike Huckabee says that Romney is dishonest. Huckabee says that the ad is misleading because he was not referring to Romney. Well, he was: http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/01/huckabee-was-referring-to-romney-in-the-if-a-mans-dishonest-clip/. It is an extraordinary thing - truth no longer matters. These people are lying through their teeth at every turn and are being called on it and no one in Florida seems to care. Maybe Gingrich is wrong when he asked rhetorically, "Does he really think we are that stupid?"
