O, the Turks Are Seething

You will recall that earlier this week, I reported that Israelis have been advised not to travel to Turkey.

The Turks are seething about that warning, claiming that it was isssued in revenge for Prime Minister Erdogan accusing Israel of genocide.

 

And while we're having to look at swastikas, I wonder what folks think about this post at Director Blue -- not so much the Obama flag abomination (the story of which I hope will die for lack of oxygen), but the comparisons that follow in the post.  

They give me the creeps, especially the planes for some reason.

 

 

Also, it occurred to me after having seen this, that it's utterly "unprecedented" (here we go again) for an American president to have a LOGO ... isn't it?

A simple question: Since people nowadays burn the real American flag with impunity, could someone burn the Obama flag with equal impunity? Or would burning the Obama flag be considerd a serious offense -- serious enough, say, to earn the burner an interrogation by the Secret Service? Just wondering ...
