Anyone remember this from 2008?
"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
Well, five years later, he's still working on it! I'm sure no one noticed, since it was accomplished behind the smoke and mirrors of honoring former President George H. W. Bush at the White House, but Obama issued a Presidential Memorandum, "expanding national service ... to advance government priorities."
I guess it's not enough to have the White House, umpteen Cabinet Departments, Executive Agencies, Regulatory Agencies, Government Corporations, the Harry Reid Senate, the Democrat Party and BarackObama Dot-Com (formerly, Organizing for America, now Organizing for Action) advancing his priorities. He needs another Task Force... "to create more opportunities for more Americans to serve" his "priorities."
Gd willing, this task force will go the way of his Jobs Council. But I wouldn't bet on it if I were you.
