Obama to Offer New Deal ...

 

"As part of his efforts to focus Washington on the middle class, today in Tennessee the president will call on Washington to work on a grand bargain focused on middle class jobs by pairing reform of the business tax code with a significant investment in middle class jobs,"

said Dan Pfeiffer, senior adviser to the president.

Oy! Already my head is splitting. Am I to understand that we are about to get a New New Deal to replace the Old New Deal which should, in all honesty, have been called the Rotten Deal? A pox on all these deals! Why can't -- or won't -- the WSJ tell us the simple truth: What Obama calls a "grand bargain" will really be a "not-so-grand hustle" -- known to aficionados of swindles, trickery, and thimble-rigging as a "shell game" -- in which taxpayer money will be placed under a huge shell labelled "middle class" ... and never seen again. I would advise anyone who still has the energy to run for the hills.
